This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website at truenorthretreatsmt.com, enter our giveaway, or book a stay, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us: name, email address, and phone number when you enter our giveaway or sign up for our emails; your choice to receive marketing emails (opt-in); your choice to receive text messages, if you opt in separately; booking details and payment information when you book a stay, processed through our booking platform, Hostfully (we don't store full payment card numbers on our website); and messages you send us through our contact form or email.
Information collected automatically: browsing details such as pages viewed, device type, browser, and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics; and a small amount of information stored in your browser to remember whether you've seen our giveaway popup. This is stored in local browser storage and does not contain your personal information.
We use your information to run giveaways, including selecting and contacting winners; to send marketing emails about our properties, local guides, and special offers, but only if you opted in; to send text messages, but only if you opted in to texts separately; to process and manage bookings and answer your questions; to understand how people use our website so we can improve it; and to meet legal and tax obligations.
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed: Hostfully for booking and guest management, Webflow for website hosting, Google Analytics for website analytics, and Mailchimp for sending marketing emails and any text messages you've agreed to receive. We may also share information if required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or guests.
If you provide your phone number, we may send you text messages only if you give separate, specific consent. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Consent to receive texts is not required to enter the giveaway.
Marketing emails: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or email us to be removed. Text messages: reply STOP to any text message to opt out. Giveaway entries: entering is optional, but opting out of marketing emails means you're no longer eligible to win, as explained in the official rules. Access, correction, or deletion: you can ask us to show, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and we may need to verify your identity first.
If you live in California or another state with privacy laws, you may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
